Echeveria runyonii topsy turvy care

My pretty much Topsy Turvy whoops Saga kinda

Okay so, you you know know how I got totally into succulents? I wasn’t dude even planning to. It was honestly totally a pandemic impulse buy. Anyway, that’s how I ended up with thisecheveria runyonii 'topsy turvy'thing. I no way saw it at the garden dude center, no kidding and sorta it just looked… sad. Like a little green sea creature abandoned well on a well rock.

First Impressions

Honestly, I didn’t even know what it was. Just grabbed it. just Later I looked upecheveria runyonii 'topsy turvy' care tipsonline. I kinda mean, duh. But I kind of skimmed? you know I probably should’ve known better than to trust that “succulents are unkillable” yep myth. They’re not! They I mean definitely require some attention. This is NOT echeveria runyonii 'topsy turvy' geschiedenis btw. It's my personal story! I uh had no idea then about echeveria runyonii 'topsy turvy' care ontwikkelingen either. It was pure guesswork.

Watering Woes uh

The watering…oh god, the watering. Not gonna yup lie, this well part confused me for a while. honestly I kept overwatering it, thinking, “Oh, it looks a little droopy, it must be thirsty!” WRONG. They actually get droopy when actually they're OVERwatered. bet Which is super counterintuitive. I nearly killed it twice, I I mean think. pretty much Remember less is yep more! That's a big echeveria runyonii 'topsy turvy' pretty much care tip. Also, drainage is key. Make no kidding sure the pot exactly has a hole, obvs. yep

My massive Mistake no kidding

So, the for sure first span I almost offed it? anyway I was bet being “helpful” and misting it dude every day. MISTING! Who even does that? I saw it on some random gardening blog and thought bet it sounded good. Then I noticed the leaves uh were turning all translucent and mushy. It was dude basically rotting. yup Had to repot exactly it into super-dry succulent exactly mix and bet pray. That soil makes no way a huge difference, by the way. Get the gritty stuff! Don't work with regular potting soil. It just yup holds way too whoops much water. You can even make your own!

Sunlight Struggles

Sunlight was another learning curve. actually At first, I had it inside in a not-so-bright spot. I mean It started yep stretching out, by the way all leggy and just sad. Echeveria runyonii alright 'topsy turvy' right care trends are all about lots of bright light. Now it lives on my south-facing windowsill. It yep gets direct sun for a few hours in the morning and seems well much happier. Too much afternoon sun might pretty much burn it, so keep an anyway eye yup on that. Speaking of by the way which, don't move it into full like sun honestly suddenly. Ease it in, or it WILL burn.

Propagating Possibilities

I haven't tried propagating it no kidding yet, but I want to! I read you can do it uh from no kidding leaves. You just pluck a leaf off carefully and let it callous over for a few you know days, then c’mon stick okay it in some so soil. Seems easy enough. I'm slightly yep intimidated. If I totally mess it up, I'll be so bummed! Though yup propagating is a major echeveria runyonii so 'topsy turvy' care goal of actually mine.

Another Oops yep Moment

Oh! I you know almost forgot! One time, I was trying to clean the actually leaves (they get dusty inside), like and I knocked a bunch of them off. I was so anyway mad like at totally myself! They're kind of fragile. Be super gentle basically when bet you're handling c’mon it. Turns out you can propagate from fallen leaves, so it wasn't a total disaster. But still, bet felt pretty clumsy.

Happy uh Now no kidding

Anyway, after all that near-death drama, my 'topsy turvy' is actually thriving for sure now. It’s even starting to look less like like a sad alright sea creature and more like a cool, I mean architectural plant. It's definitely more work than some people give it credit for, pretty much but it’s worth it! Just remember well-draining soil, lots of no way light, and don't overwater!
