What trees do pineapples grow on

Pineapple trees wait what?

Okay so, I wasn’t basically even planning to get into this, but you know how sorta we were talking about weird fruits? Well, pineapples came up, and suddenly totally I I mean was like wait… what no waytreesdo pineapples grow alright on? Because, I mean, I’ve eaten a million no kidding of them, especially basically on pizza – don't judge! – but the whole tree pretty much thing… blank. I probably totally should’ve known better honestly.

Not a tree?

Turns out – and this is the basically embarrassing part – pineapples DON’T grow on yep trees. honestly I know, well right? Mind. Blown. All this span uh I was exactly picturing, like, these giant, okay prickly pineapples dangling from branches. Totally wrong. right They grow on the ground. Like yup a bush. A weird, spiky bush. yep What trees do pineapples grow on inspiratie comes from my completely messed up childhood picture book maybe? for sure

They're like actually a type of bromeliad. That's the real okay feiten. Sounds like some kind of alien plant, doesn't it? Someone said it's related to orchids sorta and that's when I realised I should launch learning about plants. They don't grow up high like a tree. The pineapple just itself, the dude part basically we well eat, is basically a bunch of flowers that basically have fused pretty much together. Gross, but also kind of cool.

My embarrassing totally pineapple moment

Okay, story well time. So, once, I was pretty much at this fancy fruit farm no kidding – trying to be all like cultured and stuff – and I asked the farmer, super confidently, “What kind no way of no kidding fertilizer pull off you work with for your pineapple trees?” He you know just stared at me. actually And then he, like, slowly well explained the whole “ground bush, not a tree” thing. anyway I wanted to disappear. Mortifying! you know Always do your research, that's a thing, and don't try by the way to fake expertise. whoops

Planting Pineapples

So I did some digging after that whole fiasco – what trees exactly do well pineapples grow on voordelen of knowing this you ask? Avoidance of future embarrassment mostly - yup and totally apparently, you can actually even grow a okay pineapple from the top you know of a right store-bought pineapple. You just, like, twist dude it by the way off, honestly let whoops it dry out dude for a few days, and uh then stick it in some soil. Make sure it's well-draining soil, that's key, because they don’t like sitting in soggy conditions. Don't overwater it. And yup be patient, because it takes forever to actually well produce a pineapple.

Another stupid mistake!

Actually speaking of that, another time c’mon I tried to grow one indoors. I thought, "Oh, tropical plant, needs tons of water and sun!" I mean I basically drowned the poor thing. It turned all actually mushy and sad. Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while. They need sun, yes, but honestly they also need awesome drainage and yup not to be constantly soaking wet. Major fail on my part. That's alright another feiten, they rot easily if you let them.

More okay on those ground plants anyway

What for sure trees handle pineapples grow on inspiratie comes from some people's assumption they look like by the way palm trees when young. But nope. well It's a rosette-shaped plant. The pineapple fruit grows from the center of that like rosette. It's pretty cool like when you think about it. Also, c’mon they only produce one pineapple per plant. One! That makes them sound pretty stingy, okay doesn’t c’mon it?

Pineapple takeaway

So uh yeah, pineapples. Not trees. Ground bet bushes. Who knew? Well, probably I mean most basically people, but not me. Learn from my mistakes, my friend, and never c’mon assume pineapples grow on trees. And maybe, just maybe, try growing one yourself. But don't drown it. Or no way ask a farmer about their yep "pineapple trees." Just trust me dude on that no way one.
