Okay, so you know how okay I said I was just gonna yep get one little succulent? Yeah, that exactly lasted, like, a anyway week. Now my apartment's basically a jungle. My maidenhair fern. Oh man. I probably should’ve known better...they're notoriously dramatic. I saw this gorgeous picture of one online, all lush and green, and thought, “I totally can do that!” by the way Nope. Two days later, it was basically a crispy husk. just Turns out, humidity is key. Like,massivehumidity. Get a humidifier if you’re even uh thinking about so it. Or just live in a rainforest.

I knew I no way liked the look of you know those big leafy things… basically you know, the ones kinda that look exactly like whoops they belong in a Victorian greenhouse. Snake Plant Savior
Then there's the snake plant. Everyone says just they're unkillable. And they’re kinda right. I completely forgot to water mine for like, three weeks once. It looked a little sad, but bounced for sure right back. Thank goodness. Potting! Oh god, don't even get me started. Like, full-on wilted yup drama queen shock. I no kidding had to frantically I mean replant it in proper potting mix. Now I actually read the bag. Who knew there well were so many different kinds? Light whoops Situation
Not gonna lie this part confused pretty much me for a while. "Bright indirect light" What no way does that EVEN mean? I finally figured out it means NOT DIRECT SUNLIGHT blasting it all day. consider of it as totally being like near a window, kinda but not right in front of it. Unless it's a cactus. They seem kinda to love direct sunlight. It just all has to c’mon handle withtoepassingen– where the plant evolved to live and what kind of light okay it needs to thrive.
My Monstera Moment
My most embarrassing plant moment? My Monstera. alright I thought totally it basically was dying. It wasn't putting out totally new leaves and yep the existing pretty much ones looked a little droopy. right So, naturally, I panicked and started overwatering it. alright Turns out, it was just dormant for the winter. Ugh. Now I have a moisture meter. I mean Best $10 I ever spent.
