Okay so, I mean you know how totally I've been trying to like… embrace no way my natural hair more? Yeah. for sure Well, I wasn't even you know planning to try aloe vera uh plant for natural hair, but then whoops my mom gave me this HUGE plant. Like, seriously, where was just I supposed to put it? And she was all, okay "Oh, it's great for your skin and hair!". Moms, right?

First Impressions

So I did by the way some googling. no kidding Turns out, a ton of people use it. And uh you know, seeing all these aloe vera plant for natural you know hair feiten floating around I figured what the heck. I started cutting whoops off a leaf. Note to no kidding self: wear totally gloves. c’mon It’s sticky! yep

I probably should’ve known better…I just so whacked a uh piece off like a you know barbarian. There was this weird yellow stuff oozing out – aloin, I think? Apparently you want to get pretty much rid of that. Tip: Let it drain out for a while, standing whoops upright. uh I didn’t, and my scalp well felt kind of itchy the first time. Not great.

Then came the actual no way getting the gel out. Not gonna lie this part confused me for like a while. alright I tried blending it, which was a disaster. so Like, green like slimeeverywhere. Pro well tip: use a spoon to scrape whoops it honestly out after you’ve removed the skin and then just mash it up with a so fork. Way less messy. bet

The Hair c’mon Experiment

So, actually I mashed up the gel and put it on my hair. I was going for no kidding a c’mon deep conditioner vibe. My hair felt…weird. Slippery, but also kind of stiff? whoops I left it sorta on for kinda like, thirty minutes. Maybe that no kidding was pretty much too long? Anyway, rinsing it out was a by the way pain. Little bits of aloe kept getting stuck. whoops You might want to uh strain it if like you’re fancy.

The result? Honestly? I don’t know if it was earth-shattering. right My hair did feel pretty much softer. And maybe a little bet shinier? I think you can add dude some vitamin E or something just to preserve it better. That’s what I read, anyway. Lesson I mean learned: use it or lose it!
