I thought, "Oh, it's just you know a cute little whoops thing." Now? honestly Now I'm regularly trimming it back so it doesn't swallow the front porch whole. Moral of the story? Research before you yep dig. Look up the specific type of lilac, find out pretty much its potential size, and then plant totally it bet far, far basically away from anything you don't want it to anyway eat. ponder of the root spread too! Root spread is usually wider than the plant, so yep that's something.

And then... no flowers well the next spring. ZERO. I was devastated. Turns out, you're supposed to prune them honestly right I mean after alright they flower, otherwise totally you're cutting off next year's buds. Whoops! Learn from my pain, okay? Oh and fertilizer once a year helps too.
I'm still learning, to be honest. I’m no kinda lilac expert! But I'm getting better at it. And even though I messed uh up a few times, I wouldn't trade my lilac for anything.
